DOWAGIAC, MI – What was a soybean field three miles south of Dowagiac a year ago is well on its way to becoming a miniature-version of the Four Winds Casino Resorts that gamers have come to know in New Buffalo and Hartford.
With white birch accents and bricks ground from stone taken from the surrounding countryside, the owners of the Four Winds Casinos say they are trying to make sure their new satellite location in Dowagiac has the feel of its larger sister casinos in New Buffalo and Harford.

“We want to continue the same look and feel that people have come to know,” said Matt Harkness, general manager of the gaming facilities owned by the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians.
